Brechfa Forest (18,000 acres), with deep stream valleys, waterfalls and amazing views was originally a medieval hunting ground but it now managed by the Forestry commission and is excellent for mountain biking, walking and horse riding.
The historic towns of Carmarthen and Llandeilo are both within ten miles and offer a variety of shops and restaurants.
